Dr. Charles Austin Hunt, II, MD, FACS, RVT, of Alabama Vein & Restoration Medspa, is highly skilled in the field of Phlebology (vein specialist), general surgery, cardiovascular and thoracic surgery. Dr. Hunt has 20+ years of experience in vascular medicine.

In 1996, he completed both his undergraduate and medical degree at the University of Indiana, in Indianapolis. He completed his residency in Birmingham, Alabama, at Carraway Medical Center, and received his specialization in cardiovascular medicine at the AB Chandler Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky.

Dr. Hunt specializes in the treatment of vein disorders using modern technologies, such as endovenous laser ablation, microphlebectomy, and sclerotherapy.

In addition to being a highly credentialed board certified surgeon, Dr. Hunt has also been extensively trained in injectable aesthetic procedures to include the use of Botox and Juvederm and Dysport.

When not taking care of patients, Dr. Hunt enjoys kayak fishing, writing, horticulture and spending time with his family.

Lisa is an experienced secretary whose specialty is to assure pre-determination insurance coverage for our patients, and to let our patients know the status of their insurance policies. She is persistent to handle difficult problems with insurance companies, and is a fighter to obtain coverage for our patients and their procedures. Lisa has been with our organization for 12 years.

Taelar is a Registered Nurse with past ICU experience.
Taelar is a very detail oriented and takes extra time to ensure each patient is informed regarding their plan of care. Taelar assures the facility electronic health records are perfectly accurate. Taelar offers exceptional patient care during consultations and assists in surgical procedures as an OR circulator.

Taelar spends her free time dabbling in music and artistry and purveyor of good coffee.
